The "Journey for Peace" program in 2024 is a special program of the Vietnam Defense Television channel, marking 10 years since Vietnam deployed forces to participate in the peacekeeping mission. With 6 points including Hanoi (Military Broadcasting Center), Hồ Chí Minh City (Military Hospital 175), UNISFA contingent in the Abyei area, UNMISS contingent in South Sudan, MINUSCA contingent in the Central African Republic, and at the United Nations headquarters in New York, USA. The program contributes to encouraging the spirit of officers and soldiers participating in peacekeeping missions, who have to celebrate the Lunar New Year away from their homeland, enhancing their responsibility, pride, determination, unity, and excellent completion of all assigned tasks.
Not just an entertainment music product, Mr. Ngô Tự Lập's song has brought a different perspective on Africa, where it was not just about war and poverty but also a land of love and hope. At the same time, the song "Ms. Afrika Wakes Up" is also a call for unity, and cooperation towards a brighter future that the author wants to convey to the people of Africa in general and to international students at IFI in particular.
In traditional costumes with the national flag of their homeland, international students of the SIM Master's program at IFI, along with singer Bí Đỏ, performed the song "Ms. Afrika Wakes Up" emotionally and proudly. The performance created a beautiful picture of friendship spirit and cultural diversity, leaving a deep impression on the audience at the studio as well as viewers watching the program on the small screen.
