Résumé : Cet article traite de grandes questions posées en littérature française, au prisme de la francophonie et de la contemporanéité, qui invitent à une lecture intéressante de l’écrivain vietnamien Pham Van Ky. Classique francophone et classique contemporain, Pham Van Ky fut au Vietnam ce que Senghor et Césaire furent au Sénégal et aux Antilles françaises : un pionnier et un modèle. Alors que la critique récente le classe parmi les auteurs injustement oubliés, l’ampleur de sa production littéraire, le caractère novateur de ses œuvres autorisent, au contraire, une situation de son apport parmi les grands auteurs francophones du XXe siècle.

Abstract : This study deals with major literary questions, Francophonie and contemporaneity, leading to an interesting reading of the Vietnamese writer Pham Van Ky. As a classical francophone writer and as a classical contemporary writer, Pham Van Ky was for Vietnam what Senghor and Césaire were for Senegal and French West Indies : a pioneer and a model. While recent criticism classifies him among unjustly forgotten authors, the scale of its literary production, the innovative character of its works, on the contrary, allow to classify him among the great francophone authors of the twentieth century.
