INTRODUCTION

After more than 50 years of establishment and development, the Francophonie community has gradually transformed and become a diverse political, economic and cultural space, making practical contribution to peacekeeping, cooperation and sustainable development in the world. At present, La Francophonie (official name: the International Organization of La Francophonie) has become the common home of 88 member states and observers from five continents around the world. With 1.2 billion people, the Francophonie community accounted for 16% of the world's population and 16.5% of the total global wealth. (latest update in March 2023).

The participation of Vietnam in the OIF plays the role of a gateway to the world. The 7th Francophonie Summit, which is held in 1997 and in Hanoi, marked Vietnam's path towards regional and international integration through political, economic and social as well as cultural and linguistic cooperation activities with la Francophonie.
