Conference: Smart agriculture: potential and reality

The conference “Intelligent agriculture: potential and reality” is an event within the framework of the 3rd edition of Franconomie 2021, organized by the International Francophone Institute, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU) in collaboration with the International Organisation of la Francophonie (OIF), the Francophone University Agency (AUF) and the French Institute of Vietnam (IFV) on November 25, 2021 in Hanoi.

GENERAL INFORMATIONS

Agriculture has always been an area of interest to all countries of the world and plays an important and undeniable role. In developed countries, although the share of agriculture has declined, it cannot be completely eliminated. The most important role of agriculture is to ensure national food security and the survival of the people. The 4th industrial revolution (Industry 4.0) is further accelerating a global and profound change in economic and social life, including agriculture. Under the impact of this revolution, traditional agriculture has evolved into smart agriculture. A question posed to us is how to effectively convert traditional agriculture to smart agriculture by using science and technology to optimize production processes, increase the productivity and quality of agricultural products, and transfer, distribute and use smarter and more sustainable energy.

Vietnam, an agricultural country, must be aware of this change, thus modifying the research and training strategy to promote the positive impacts and limit the negative effects of this revolution, while ensuring sustainable agricultural development.

Afin de reconnaître globalement les aspects intelligents de l'agriculture, les grandes tendances et les changements de la société, l'Institut Francophone Internationale (IFI) - Université Nationale de Hanoi, en collaboration avec l'OIF, l'AUF et l'IFV organisera la conférence internationale « Agriculture intelligente: potentiel et réalité » le 25 novembre 2021. Cette événement, avec des échanges, discussions et le partage d'expériences étudiera des perspectives multidimensionnelles du concept d’ « agriculture intelligente » pour orienter le développement de l’agriculture intelligente au Vietnam.

In order to globally recognize the intelligent aspects of agriculture, major trends and changes in society, the International Francophone Institute (IFI) - National University of Vietnam, in collaboration with the OIF, AUF and IFV will organize the international conference “Smart Agriculture: Potential and Reality” on November 25, 2021. This event, with exchanges, discussions and sharing of experiences will explore multidimensional perspectives of the concept of “smart agriculture” to guide the development of smart agriculture in Vietnam.

The organizers are pleased to invite experts, speakers, researchers, managers to write papers for the conference. The high-quality contributions will be selected for the proceeding of DAAS with ISBN and La Francophonie in Asia – Pacific magazine (FAP) (ISBN et ISSN 2525-2488) or VNU Journal of Science: Policy Research and Management (ISSN 2615-9295 / e-ISSN 2588-1116).

Full-text submission: 05th October 2021

Submission guidelines

Proposal (subject, 3-5 keywords): less than 500 words
Full text (summary and keywords): less than 5000 words
The full text is drafted in the form of .docx, with the author’s name, phone number and institution’s name
Format: Text is presented in single spaced, font size 13 using Times New Roman font. Alignment: top: 2 cm; bottom: 2 cm; right; 2 cm; left: 3 cm. Pages, figures and tables must be clearly and accurately numbered.
