The Opening Ceremony of the Software Tester Course was honored to have Mr. Arnaud Pannier, Education Cooperation Counselor at the French Embassy in Vietnam, and Mr. Kaloyan Kolev, the program's cooperation officer from the French International Organization for French-speaking Areas in Asia-Pacific (OIF) in attendance.
Representatives from the France-Vietnam Friendship Association (AAFV) included Ms. Jeanne Goffinet, Ms. Phan Kim Vân, and Ms. Elizabeth Rodrigues. Representatives from the Vietnam-France Friendship and Cooperation Association (AAFV) included Mr. Nguyễn Trung Hiển, Secretary-General; Deputy Head of the Science and Technology Department, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU); Ms. Hoàng Thị Phượng, Former Vice Chairman, Former Senior Expert of the Foreign Trade University; Mr. Hoàng Văn Cương, Advisor of the France-Vietnam Friendship Association (AAFV), CEO of the Saigon Business School. Representing FUNiX, there was Ms. Hoàng Cẩm Linh, Director of the Hannah Center, FUNiX. From IFI, there was Mr. Phùng Danh Thắng, Director of IFI, along with representatives of departments, professional committees, faculty members, and students from courses 1, 2, and 3 of the "Software Tester" short-term training program.
In his opening remarks, Mr. Phùng Danh Thắng, Director of IFI, affirmed that the short-term "Software Tester" training course is a project of great significance to society, in line with IFI's mission to become a major French-speaking university training center, providing valuable knowledge and experiences for the community, especially the younger generation. He also stated that in addition to professional knowledge, the training course also helps students develop soft skills and language abilities, thereby equipping them with a solid foundation to become professional software testers. Finally, Mr. Phùng Danh Thắng hoped that the students would successfully complete the program, ready to seize opportunities for career development and improve their quality of life.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Arnaud Pannier, Education Cooperation Counselor at the French Embassy in Vietnam, expressed his honor to accompany IFI, AAFV, and FuNix in implementing the short-term "Software Tester" training course. Mr. Pannier emphasized that with French-language components in the program, students not only acquire another language but also gain a competitive advantage when writing their CVs, thus accessing better-paying job positions. The representative of the French Embassy in Vietnam also hoped that the students would achieve good academic results, and the organizing unit would continue to develop more training programs in various fields in the future.
Sharing at the event, Mr. Nguyễn Trung Hiển, Secretary-General of the Vietnam-France Friendship and Cooperation Association (AACFV), Deputy Head of the Science and Technology Department at VNU, particularly praised the contributions of the "Software Tester" program in supporting disadvantaged young people with training, ensuring employment, and gradually stabilizing their lives, especially in the context of post-Covid-19 economic difficulties. Additionally, Mr. Hien encouraged students to continuously strive for self-improvement, creating useful values for society in general and the IT field in particular.
Also on this occasion, to review the memorable milestones of the project, delegates, guests, and all students watched a video highlighting the milestones in the initiation and implementation of the Software Tester training program by AAFV
Continuing the program, Ms. Jeanne Goffinet from AAFV expressed her gratitude to the accompanying units, sponsors, and the implementation team for jointly creating a global training program, providing career opportunities for young people. Ms. Goffinet also hoped that the students would strive to complete the course well to deserve the support in terms of infrastructure, finances, and certificates from the program implementing units.
As the Project Manager at AAFV, Ms. Phan Kim Vân delivered an emotional speech. She stated that 2023 was a special year, marking the collaboration between AAFV and IFI in implementing the Support Vietnamese Young Talent project (STVN). This is a short-term vocational training project, prioritizing young people aged 18 to 30 who are passionate about digital technology jobs but lack favorable conditions. The training duration is 6 months, with comprehensive specialized knowledge, quality soft skills, and language skills. After completing the course, students will have sufficient IT capacity to meet the recruitment requirements of companies in Vietnam, while continuing to receive support in job search. Finally, the AAFV representative wished the students of Course 3 in the "Software Tester" short-term training program perseverance, determination, and self-confidence to pursue their dreams.
Regarding the project's development journey, Mr. Hoàng Văn Cương, currently a Mentor, Advisor at AAFV, highly appreciated the efforts of all participants, especially Ms. Phan Kim Vân and Ms. Jeanne Goffinet, who have the desire to bring opportunities for learning and skills enhancement to disadvantaged youth. Mr. Cương also believed that Course 3 of the "Software Tester" program would continue the success of the previous 2 courses, thereby spreading the spirit of effort and uplifting changes in the lives of Vietnamese youth.
The achievements of these efforts have been recognized by multiple generations of STVN project students. Mr. Lê Trung Thành, a student of Course 1, shared that he had been systematically trained in Testing knowledge as well as soft skills and languages. He affirmed that he would study and work hard to express gratitude to the teachers who participated in the program.
As a full scholarship student of Course 3, Ms. Nguyễn Thị Hương Giang expressed her gratitude to the sponsors and teachers of the program for providing opportunities for learning and development for students. Ms. Hương Giang pledged to take advantage of every opportunity to learn, improve herself, and become a useful member of society. She also hoped to become a supporter of future generations, thereby creating positive value for the community.
The opening ceremony concluded with the presentation of certificates and diplomas to students of Course 2 who successfully completed the program.
