The defense of the dissertation study by Miss. Marine Riga (Promotion 15) will be held at 16:00 Thursday, August 18, 2011, in classroom 201 of the IFIs.
Title: "Integration of a visualization engine in OpenGL simulation platform GAMA"
The jury will consist of:
Mr. Nguyen Trong Phuc, (rapporteur, UT)
Mr. Ngo Hong Son (secretary, IPH)
Mr. Tuong Vinh Ho (president, IFI)
Mr. Richard Canal (reviewer, IFI)
Mr. Jean Daniel Zucker (reviewer, IRD)

Abstract: In last few years, agent-oriented simulation replaces the object-oriented simulation and micro simulation in various domains (IT, sociology, biology, physics, chemistry, ecology, economics, etc...). In fact, it allows the use of entities called agents. These agents have properties and a behavior. From the interactions of these entities with simple behaviors, new more complex behaviors will emerge. With the consideration of these new agents, we get a more realistic and more natural simulations.

GAMA is a platform that aims to process simulations based on multi agents. It was created to be accessible to any expert in his own domain. It allows the generation of simulations on multiple fields in a large scope. The visualization of a simulation should allow people to understand the problem and facilitated the analysis of results provided by the simulation... It must be clear and understandable for the people who will analyze the results; they are not necessarily expert in the field. To facilitate the understanding of these simulations, it is necessary that the  display is able to: offer multiple points of view or a view 2D/3D of the solution, have the ability to reuse the solution in another context, such a presentation or simply review the solution without having to regenerate the result each time.
We show in this paper the issues and choices related to the improvement of the platform to make it more accessible: in order to provide the user the ability to visualize the solution of the simulation available in different forms or generate a video with the results of this simulation.
