In the current era of digital technology 4.0, Financial Technology, also known as Fintech, is dominating financial activities all around the world. In Vietnam, more and more consumers are using Fintech products and services. Therefore, training programs on financial technology (Fintech) are receiving special attention in Vietnam.
Recently, in the Constructing Technology program number 17, Dr. Hồ Tường Vinh - Vice Chairman of the IFI Science and Training Council emphasized that currently in Vietnam there were courses for Bachelor of Fintech and international courses associated with universities around the world, and with leading financial enterprises with a view to enhance practical knowledge for students.
Regarding the quality of Fintech employees, Dr. Vinh said that currently, it was still difficult to find ones knowing both Technology and Finance. Therefore, he showed a high expectation that financial institutions would organize knowledge-sharing forums for students to experience new techniques and discuss with experts in the industry.
About the Fintech training program in Vietnam, Mr. Phan Xuân Thắng, Director of the IFI Training & Management Center talked to VTV: “The concept and development of financial technology have led to a complete change of human resources of this training program. Catching this demand, IFI is the pioneer in training Masters of Fintech in Vietnam with the participation of professors and experts from the UK, and France that are working in the field of Fintech. In this way, IFI expects to provide students with practical knowledge in order to answer math problems and questions about financial technology in the most practical way.”
Commenting on the Master of Fintech program at IFI, student Nguyễn Việt Thắng, currently working as the Deputy Director of the Information Technology Division at PG Bank, said: “At the Master of Fintech program at IFI, I gained knowledge from lecturers who are experts from developed countries. Not only are the teachers highly specialized in their field, but they also have a lot of practical experience. Therefore, learning becomes so sufficient and sensible that I can almost immediately apply the knowledge to work after the lesson.”
