Ms. Nguyễn Thị Quỳnh a Mai, a student of the 2nd cohort, Master of Fintech program, shared her reasons for choosing the IFI and her special impressions during her study here. As a banker, she necessarily updates knowledge to climb higher in her career ladder, which is imperative in the setting that banks are striving hard for the digitization of banking services on electronic platforms.
Initially, Ms. Mai planned to study for a Master of Business Administration (MBA) at a university specializing in economics. Still, after looking through the Master's program in Banking, Finance, and Financial Technology (Fintech) at the IFI, she veered off in a new direction to the IFI, as she learned that this field was anticipated to catch on in the coming years.
Fintech is becoming a trend in the banking industry
“I happened to know about the IFI through an acquaintance when I was seeking Master's programs for my career advancement. After reading IFI's Master's course, I found that the curriculum was carefully designed. Moreover, Fintech is becoming a trend, a potential field in the near future. So finding a program that "catches up with the trend" in Fintech professionally and methodically is not that easy, but IFI has made it with the first cohort. That's why I chose IFI to apply for a Master's degree" said Ms. Mai.
An opportunity to gain knowledge from experts and classmates
Setting aside the quality of teaching and learning, what impressed her the most is the teachers and her classmates. “The lecturers in the Master of Fintech are all leading experts. They flew to Vietnam to deliver knowledge and practical experiences closely to each student. Also, my classmates are working in banking or technology. This truly helps everybody to learn and share experiences." said Ms. Mai.
2023 is a year for the graduation of Fintech classes. In early 2023, Ms. Mai hopefully wished: "I hope that the 2nd cohort will be completed with flying colors, and we will meet again in France to get a Master's degree!".
Currently, Ms. Mai is working as a Priority Customer Manager at Techcombank, one of the biggest banks in Vietnam. Let's wish Ms. Mai with all the best in her final journey at IFI and we will soon see her and the classmates at the upcoming emotional graduation ceremony.
