IFI students entered the Top 5 Hackathon Vietnam AI Grand Challenge 2019 Finals

The event was organized by the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Ministry of Planning and Investment in cooperation with Kambria Group and VietAI, McKinsey, Vietnam Innovation Network (Vietnam Innovation Network).

Hackathon events took place in the three largest cities of Vietnam on the following dates: Ho Chi Minh City (June 28-30), Da Nang (July 5-7) and Hanoi  July (12-14). There were more than 400 competitors from 128 participating teams. The jury for this contest was composed of experts from McKinsey & Company and prestigious AI organizations including VietAI, Vietnam Innovation Network (VIN), Panasonic amongst others.

The challenge was to develop virtual assistant products using AI technology. The teams had no more than 40 hours of competition time to work out their solutions and set up their programming.

After two days of urgency, stress, eating and sleeping on the spot, IFI Team was chosen and placed amongst the Top 5 winners.
