The International Francophone Institute organized the Ceremony to open the 2018-2019 academic year and welcome the New Year 2019 at Nguy Nhu Kontum Meeting Hall, Hanoi, on December 28, 2018.
Attending the event were a representative of the Vietnam-based French Embassy, the Ambassador of the Republic of Morocco and the Ambassador of the Republic of Congo, the units under Vietnam National University, Hanoi, and the entire officials, lecturers, learners, alumni and strategic partners in training and research of the IFI.
Speaking to open the ceremony, Dr. Ngô Tự Lập – Director of the IFI – expressed his profound thanks to Vietnam National University, Hanoi, the Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF) (The University Agency of La Francopohonie) and the strategic domestic and international partners who have always supported and accompanied with the development of the IFI; at the same time he expressed his wish that all the learners and new learners of the IFI should make greater efforts to overcome the challenges to study well and take firm steps on the path of future career, making a contribution to maintaining and promoting the fame of the IFI’s training programs in the Francophone community in particular and in the world in general. Dr. Ngô Tự Lập stressed: “Studying at the IFI, you not only study the professions, but study the art of cooperating, working, mutual understanding, tolerance and living together as well”.
In the framework of the ceremony, learner Eric Papain Mezatio from Cameroon, representing for 34 learners of the 2018-2020 course expressed the honor and sent the thanks to Vietnam National University, Hanoi,, the IFI for having given the learners from about 20 countries in the Francophone community the opportunity to get access to the most updated knowledge in the information technology field, in a multinational international environment right in Vietnam. “Possibly this is the real honor for the start of a battle. In the next two years, we will have to fight with the high-quality learning program that demands correctness, diligence, relentless efforts, seriousness, overcoming ourselves and capacity to manage the time” – shared learner Eric.
Right at the Ceremony, the Oschestra Network group – the multinational French group concerning the enterprise data management – handed 3 annual scholarships with each having a value of VND 20 million over to 03 students with the high distinction academic results in the 2017-2018 academic year: Serge Sonfack Sounchio (Camaroon); Brahim Al Koreimy (The Republic of Chad) and Yasser Hamidillad (The Republic of Madagascar). In the next academic year, in a capacity as the IFI’s strategic partner, Oschestra Network will continue to give a grant of VND 150,000,000 to encourage the study achievements of the IFI learners and to receive the practitioners at the group.
On this occasion, the International Francophone Institute has handed the Master Degree diploma of Information Technology, Smart System and Multimedia specialties to the representatives of the graduates of the course 20 (2015-2017) and the course 21 (2016-2018). Most of the graduates have now continued to study for Doctor Degree, or work at companies and laboratories in different countries in the world.
At the ceremony, the IFI’s alumni also shared a lot of experience in study and work on the way to success; it is the inspirational flame and motivation for the learners and new learners of the IFI for good study together.
Concluding the ceremony was the banquet to welcome the New Year in the jovial and enthusiastic atmosphere with all people turning towards the new goal and success in 2019./.
