International symposium "Towards a better valorization of natural and cultural heritages in the context of climate change in Vietnam and in Asia-Pacific"

On 17 October 2018, the International Francophone Institute (IFI) organized an international symposium namely” Territory-heritage development/ Towards a better valorization of natural and cultural heritages in the context of climate change in Vietnam and in Asia-Pacific", which is sponsored by Francophonie University Association (AUF). The event attracts the attention of a great number of experts, researchers both domestic and internationally; many students and the media as well.

On the side of co-organizer, the delegation was Mr. Jean Paul PASTOREL - Vice Rector  and many professors, researchers and speakers from the University of French Polynesia. Representatives of international organizations are Ms. Phung Thi Thanh Tu,  from the Association University Francophone (AUF), Ms. Le Ngoc Diem from the International Organization for Francophone (OIF) and Mr. Le Phuoc Minh from the Institute for Middle East and Africa Studies (IAMES - VN).

This symposium is among  the serie of DAAS events (Diderot Advanced Academic Seminars) held by IFI in 2018. With over twenty years experience in IT training and research, one of IFI's most prominent activities in recent years has been implementing digitization projects for cultural and natural heritages, using computers and other modern technologies to serve society. The purpose of this event  is to provide a interdisciplinary forum for scientists, researchers and leaders to discuss the inheritance and preservation of heritage values towards sustainable development; particularly in Vietnam and the Asia Pacific region.
