La Princesse et le Pêcheur de Minh Tran Huy : entre conte modernisé et roman d’adolescence

Résumé : Ce premier roman de Minh Tran Huy, La Princesse et la Pêcheur, évoque l’amitié amoureuse entre deux adolescents d’origine vietnamienne avec en arrière-plan l’écho de contes traditionnels vietnamiens. Ce roman d’apprentissage s’interroge aussi sur une quête identitaire douloureuse liée à l’Histoire du Vietnam et à celle d’une famille.

Abstract : This first novel by Minh Tran Huy, The Princess and the fisherman evokes the amorous friendship between two teenagers of Vietnamese origin with in the background the echo of traditional Vietnamese tales. This coming-of-age story also questions a painful identity quest linked to the History of Vietnam and of a family.
